BOdy Renaissance

If you feel frustrated with your body, we have an invitation for you . . .

Body Renaissance is a movement space crafted for connection. Rather than focusing on what needs to change about our bodies, we seek to inhabit, listen, and understand. We offer facilitated immersions into specific areas of the body so you gain the sensory vocabulary and anatomical awareness to feel your body flourish.

Anatomy of a Renaissance

Why Anatomy?

Each of us has a body. We spend our whole lives in here. But how many of us ever got an orientation? It’s easy to feel frustrated living inside a system when we don’t understand how it works. Each immersion gives you the opportunity to engage with your body and refine your movement. Over time, this results in embodied fluency and creative agency.

Why Renaissance?

There’s a lot of pain and dissonance associated with our bodies these days. We believe there’s more to being human than productivity and performance. We’re made for connection, discovery, and expression. This is hard to find alone. We need supportive spaces where it’s safe to inhabit ourselves, explore, and learn together.

How much beauty could emerge if we committed to continuously meeting our own and each other’s bodies with curiosity, patience, and delight?

You’ve lived in your body your whole life, but may have never realized its potential. We invite you to come flourish with us.

Your Facilitators

Isabel Juarez-Lopez

Dance Instructor

Isabel's first language is dance. She is most enchanted by the beauty of music and the emotional layers of human movement.

Isabel's favorite social dance is Argentine Tango, and she has been teaching classes and organizing a growing community in Corvallis since 2022. She also loves individual dancing, and has trained for almost a decade in supportive modalities such as pilates, yoga, and barre, to deepen access to flow, agility, and precision in her body.

In this journey of physical attunement, she has encountered a powerful transformation of her eating habits, her emotional regulation, and her faith.

Georgia Mitchell

Movement Mentor

Georgia was born to move. At age five, her career goal was to be a dancer-teacher-nurse, and that pretty much sums up what she does now.

Georgia has spent the last decade learning to resolve chronic pain by healing tissue through movement. She began practicing Qi Gong in 2015, leading to ongoing studies in ancient and innovative approaches to flexibility, strength training, and embodiment.

She specializes in engaging the body at multiple levels: bone, fluid, organs, and muscle, and is fascinated by the subtle vitality that animates it all.

Feeling alive is her favorite pastime.
