Group Classes
You can learn to move like water.
Fluid is a vital component of our bodies and our movement. The viscous element of connective tissue is what allows muscles to smoothly glide against each other. Slow, rhythmic movement and softening old holding patterns restores flow, creating an experience of freedom and ease. This is movement designed to put you in a relaxed, receptive state. This is the ground from which new possibilities emerge.
What We Offer
QiGong
-
Qigong moves like water: slow, steady, persistent and powerful. Through gentle, rhythmic movements, qigong restores vital circulation at progressively deeper layers of the body.
We can think of qi as the creative vitality that results from harnessing the tension of opposites. As we oscillate between the poles of yin and yang, we generate circulation and align our lives with the natural cycles.
Considered an “internal martial art,” qigong results in greater life potential and more potent presence. It is a practice that can serve you for a lifetime. Now is always a good time to begin.

Tuesdays | 7:30-8:15 am
This 45-minute class includes a brief warm-up, short forms particular to each season, and standing postures designed to generate qi.
The purpose of this class is creating structure to enhance potency.
Fridays | 7:30-8:45 am
In this 75-minute class we’ll begin with a traditional warm-up routine, then deepen our experience of the seasonal forms through extended practice. We may explore additional forms based on interest.
Here we provide an opportunity to encounter the specific intelligence of ancient movement patterns.
Beginners always welcome.

Fluid Alignment
-
Fluid alignment is about recovering natural posture. When our bones are able to float in hydrated tissue, they naturally occupy their right place. When our muscles evenly contract and relax, we have ease of motion. No more hunched shoulders, chronic tightness, or hip pain.
Increased physical alignment also reduces stress on the nervous system. Our bodies start getting the message they are safe because all the parts are in the right place.
Yes, it takes some work, but that's what we're here to do together:
align the joints and skeletal structure, beginning with the core
soften, hydrate, and strengthen muscle tissue
become familiar with the way our bodies are designed to move
-
Mondays | 10:00-10:50 am
Fridays | 2:00-2:50 pm
Both weekly classes will include working with structure and fluidity at multiple layers of the body. You’ll learn a variety of practices, many that can also be done at home.
-
Constructive Rest Position (CRP)
a simple yet profound practice that aligns the core, restores fluid flow, transforms stress, and helps us access biological potential
Balls, Rollers, Floor and Walls
multiple props and positions can help us when it comes to tissue hydration and skeletal alignment; we have many options available and will teach you how to effectively use them all
Dynamic Self-Stretching
dynamic stretching adds range of motion, muscle engagement, and resistance to stretching; this unique combination rebalances muscle tension and increases flexibility and strength
