Weekly Classes
Qi Gong classes with Confident Ground offer gentle, rhythmic movement practices focused on circulation and whole-body awareness.
Considered an “internal martial art,” Qi Gong uses external movement to generate internal changes in the body. We can think of Qi as the vitality that results from moving between opposites. When we reach out and gather in, this motion creates circulation. The flow of oxygenated blood generated by gentle, rhythmic movement nourishes and cleanses our systems, transforming stagnation and stimulating health.
Location, Schedule And Pricing
All Qi Gong classes take place at Heart of the Valley Yoga, 529 NW 4th Street in Corvallis, OR. Join us Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Please bring a mat or blanket if you have one and a water bottle. The room is often warm due to the preceding hot yoga class. Sign up at Heart of the Valley Yoga or arrive 10 minutes early and we will take care of you at the door.

Forms and Foundations
Our beginning class series, Qi Gong Forms and Foundations, covers the basic principles and practices you need to establish Qi Gong as an ally for your life and health. We’ll alternate between learning foundational movements and simple forms. This combination gives you both the body awareness needed to build skill in the practice, and familiarity with a selection of classic forms that have been passed down through generations.
Qi Gong is based in Chinese cosmology, which is seasonal and cyclic, and so we return again and again to our foundational practices. Skill is developed through repetition, and we can learn something new or deepen our experience each time we return to the basics. You can join at any point in the series, knowing that whatever you missed will eventually cycle through again.
All classes are friendly to beginners and accessible to a range of physical abilities.
